Shangri-La Singapore has revealed a redesigned Valley Wing, bringing refreshed guestrooms, suites and two presidential suites to its long-established flagship near Orchard Road. The hotel says the new accommodation is available for stays from October 2026.
The hotel announcement, published on October 23, presents the project as an update to the wing’s residential style and private-service experience. It is a renovation within the existing hotel, which opened in 1971, rather than the launch of another Shangri-La property in Singapore.
A New Look for the Valley Wing
The design draws on Singapore’s shophouses and botanical surroundings, combining decorative latticework and floral wallcoverings with soft greens, golds and blues. The changes extend from Executive Rooms to Executive and Premier Suites, with the hotel’s two presidential suites at the top of the refreshed range.
For travelers, choosing the wing is as important as choosing the hotel. Shangri-La Singapore has three accommodation wings within its garden setting, and the Valley Wing has its own entrance, lobby and check-in experience. A booking elsewhere in the property should not be assumed to include its private lounge privileges.
From Executive Rooms to Presidential Suites
The refreshed Executive Room is listed at 57 square meters, with either a king bed or twin beds. The current room page specifies a maximum of two adults and says an extra bed cannot be accommodated, making it important for families to confirm a suitable category before reserving.
At the other end of the range, the Shangri-La Suite spans 348 square meters and includes two bedrooms, living and dining areas, an in-room gym and 24-hour butler service. The hotel’s other presidential option, the Singapore Suite, also has two bedrooms and adds a private whirlpool bath.
The official room imagery is identified as artists’ renderings. It illustrates the intended interiors, while the hotel notes that actual finishes and furnishings may vary. Guests choosing a room for a particular layout or feature should confirm it directly.
What the Valley Wing Stay Includes
The property’s privileges guide lists breakfast in the Summit Room, afternoon tea in the Valley Wing Lounge and evening canapés and cocktails at the Marble Bar. It also describes a separate check-in experience and access to drinks and daily curated activities.
Those inclusions make the comparison with another room more useful than a nightly rate alone. Check which benefits apply to the category and rate you select, the number of registered guests covered, and any dining dress requirements. Live prices and cancellation terms depend on the dates and booking conditions.
We previously covered Shangri-La’s Signatures launch in Hangzhou. The Singapore project takes a different route: renewing a familiar flagship and its most private accommodation wing instead of opening a new address.
