Key Notes

  • Eight glass platforms extend 1.5 meters beyond the level 52 deck at 240 meters above sea level.
  • Ledge access is included in general admission, starting at AED115 for adults and AED80 for children.
  • The separate Next Level package reaches 250 meters and starts at AED190 for adults.

Dubai has added a new way to look down on Palm Jumeirah: eight glass ledges extending beyond the observation deck at The View at The Palm. The attraction, called The Ledge at The View, is now open 240 meters above sea level, with access included in general admission from AED115 for adults.

Each platform projects 1.5 meters beyond the deck, giving visitors a transparent floor beneath their feet. Four face the Palm’s fronds and outer crescent against the Arabian Gulf, while the other four look toward Dubai’s skyline. The addition marks the fifth anniversary of the observatory, which opened in 2021 and is operated by Dubai Holding Entertainment.

A New Perspective From The Palm Tower

The ledges add to the observation deck on level 52 of The Palm Tower. From here, the island’s branching layout is visible from above, alongside coastal landmarks including Burj Al Arab, Atlantis The Royal and Ain Dubai.

The main visit also includes the Palm Jumeirah Exhibition, which explains how the island was conceived and built through interactive displays. A high-speed elevator takes visitors to level 52 in around 45 seconds. The entrance lobby and exhibition are on the east rooftop of Palm Jumeirah Mall.

What the AED115 Ticket Includes

The venue’s ticket options list standard admission from AED115 for adults and AED80 for children, covering the viewing deck and exhibition. The new ledges are included in general admission, so visitors do not need to buy a higher-tier ticket simply to try them. These are starting prices; check the selected date and entry time when booking.

The Next Level is a separate option on floor 54, at 250 meters above sea level. That package starts at AED190 for adults and AED130 for children and includes standard admission, the higher viewing area and fast-track access. The two elevations are worth distinguishing when comparing tickets: the new glass ledges are part of the 240-meter experience.

What to Know Before Stepping Onto the Glass

Access to the ledges is supervised, and the venue’s visitor rules set a maximum of four guests at a time, with a target of one to two minutes on the platform. Expect staff to manage turns rather than treating the ledge as an unrestricted place to linger.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged at least 21. Wheelchair access is permitted subject to staff assessment, but mobility scooters, walkers, prams and strollers cannot go onto the ledge. Visitors with accessibility requirements should check the arrangements before booking.

The venue asks ticket holders to arrive 15 minutes before their booked time. Its website currently lists daily opening hours of 9 am to 7 pm, while ledge access can be suspended because of weather or operational conditions. Check current availability alongside the ticket slot.

Adding The View to a Dubai Stay

For travelers building a Dubai itinerary, the main choice is whether the level 52 panorama and ledges are enough, or whether the higher Next Level package is worth the extra cost. Choose the ticket for the experience you want, then check the entry conditions before paying.

We have also covered the current Skywards Dubai promotion, which rewards eligible Emirates and flydubai visitors for time spent in the city. It is a separate airline offer with its own registration and booking requirements, rather than a benefit attached to The View tickets.
