Key Notes

  • Sanctuary Collection will expand to Royal, Regal, Discovery, Sky and Enchanted Princess.
  • Royal Princess begins the full experience on January 4, 2027, with preview sailings from October 30, 2026.
  • Existing qualifying bookings gain Sanctuary benefits but not an automatic Princess Premier package.

Princess Cruises is expanding its Sanctuary Collection to five more ships, bringing private club spaces, dedicated dining and premium cabin benefits to more of its fleet. Royal Princess will lead the rollout, followed by Regal Princess, Discovery Princess, Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess during 2027.

The concept already operates on Sun Princess and Star Princess. The expansion covers selected accommodation categories on existing Royal Class ships, so travelers need to choose a qualifying cabin rather than assume that every room includes the additional access.

When Each Ship Joins the Collection

According to the line’s rollout schedule, Royal Princess opened bookings on October 22 for the full experience beginning January 4, 2027. Its first announced voyage is a 12-day South Pacific sailing.

  • Regal Princess: bookings open November 5, with onboard availability from April 17, 2027.
  • Discovery Princess: bookings open December 4, with onboard availability from April 24, 2027.
  • Sky Princess: bookings open December 10, with onboard availability from May 29, 2027.
  • Enchanted Princess: bookings open December 17, with onboard availability from June 12, 2027.

The booking dates fall in 2026. Princess also lists Royal Princess preview sailings from October 30, 2026, through January 3, 2027. During that period, qualifying guests receive Sanctuary access and benefits, but Princess Premier is an additional purchase.

What the Premium Cabins Include

The expansion announcement describes a private Sanctuary Club and pool area, a dedicated Sanctuary Restaurant, priority services and selected in-room amenities. Suite guests also gain access to a separate Suite Lounge and concierge assistance. Cabanas carry an extra charge.

Qualifying new Sanctuary Collection bookings will include Princess Premier, covering benefits such as premium beverages, specialty and casual dining, Wi-Fi, crew appreciation and room service. The collection extends beyond suites, with eligible mini-suites, balcony cabins and oceanview rooms also part of the offer.

Already Booked? Check Your Package

Princess says guests whose existing room becomes a Sanctuary Collection cabin will keep their booked fare and stateroom number while gaining the applicable new benefits. However, a booking made before that ship’s on-sale date does not automatically gain Princess Premier if it was not originally included.

Before paying for an upgrade, compare the room category, sailing date and package on the actual reservation. The collection’s private spaces, suite-only extras and Premier package are separate details to confirm. The full product also begins on different dates across the five ships.

We recently covered MSC’s new family villa, another example of cruise lines adding accommodation with private facilities. For Princess passengers, the key choice is whether the specific cabin and included package justify the fare difference on their sailing.
