London is getting a new Harry Potter attraction this fall, and it will be much more than a conventional merchandise store.
Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences will open the UK’s largest official Harry Potter Shop on November 4, 2026, at The Ribbon development at 134-140 Oxford Street.
The flagship will span more than 21,000 square feet across two floors and is designed around Diagon Alley, the fictional wizarding shopping street at the heart of the Harry Potter universe.
Visitors will encounter themed environments intended to feel more like an attraction than a traditional retail space. One of the main centerpieces will be the Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon positioned above a Gringotts-inspired area, recreating one of the franchise’s most recognizable images.
A full-size Knight Bus will also be displayed inside the store, giving visitors another major photo opportunity. The Leaky Cauldron will appear as a themed food and beverage area serving Butterbeer, including Butterbeer Ice Cream.
The shop will also offer merchandise created specifically for the Oxford Street location. Exclusive products include a Diagon Alley Wand, a special Harry Potter Funko Pop!, MinaLima artwork inspired by the Knight Bus and Diagon Alley, a Butterbeer label collection, clothing, stationery and accessories.
The opening adds another major Harry Potter destination to London, which already has an official shop at King’s Cross Station and benefits from its close association with locations and imagery used throughout the franchise.
Warner Bros. Senior Vice President of Worldwide Retail Karl Durrant described opening a flagship in London as an important milestone, noting that the city is where Harry Potter’s story began and remains closely connected to the fictional world.
The location also reflects changes taking place on Oxford Street itself.
One of the world’s busiest shopping districts, the street attracts roughly half a million visitors each day but is increasingly trying to move beyond conventional retail. Operators are investing in stores that combine shopping with entertainment, immersive design and experiences that cannot easily be replicated online.
The New West End Company has pointed to the Harry Potter project as an example of that shift, alongside investments from brands including Puma, Space NK, Marks & Spencer and Zara.
For visitors, the new shop will effectively become another Harry Potter attraction in central London rather than simply somewhere to buy merchandise.
Its combination of elaborate sets, exclusive products, food and interactive photo opportunities is designed to encourage fans to stay longer and make the store part of a wider London itinerary.
When the doors open in November, Oxford Street will gain not just another flagship, but a new entertainment destination built around one of Britain’s most valuable cultural franchises.
