IHG Adds The Hari Hotels to Vignette Collection in London, Hong Kong and Singapore
IHG and Harilela Group are bringing three The Hari hotels into Vignette Collection, including a new Singapore property opening in 2027.
IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its luxury footprint with a three-hotel deal that will bring The Hari properties in London and Hong Kong into Vignette Collection while transforming a long-running Holiday Inn in Singapore into a new The Hari hotel.
The agreement with Hong Kong-based Harilela Group covers the 85-room The Hari London, the 210-room The Hari Hong Kong and the future 324-room The Hari Singapore. The London and Hong Kong hotels are expected to join Vignette Collection later in 2026, while the Singapore property is scheduled to open in 2027.
The deal builds on a relationship between IHG and Harilela Group that stretches back more than five decades. Their partnership already includes Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Hong Kong, Holiday Inn Express Changzhou Center and Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom.
For IHG, the agreement strengthens Vignette Collection in three major international cities while bringing the brand to Singapore for the first time. The luxury and lifestyle collection now has more than 80 open and pipeline hotels worldwide and is tracking ahead of its goal to exceed 100 properties within its first decade.
The Hari Singapore Will Be the Biggest Transformation
The most significant change will take place in Singapore.
Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre, which opened in 1985 and is IHG’s longest-operating hotel in the city-state, is undergoing a major redesign before reopening as The Hari Singapore, Vignette Collection.
British designer Tara Bernerd, who also worked on The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong, is overseeing the transformation. The property sits close to Orchard Road and the historic Emerald Hill area, positioning it for both leisure and business demand.
The location also gives guests easy access to Marina Bay, the Civic District and Changi Airport, while placing the hotel in one of Singapore’s most important shopping neighborhoods.
The Hari London will remain in Belgravia, close to Knightsbridge, Sloane Street and Hyde Park, while The Hari Hong Kong will continue operating in Wan Chai between Causeway Bay and Admiralty.
IHG is positioning the partnership as a way to preserve the individuality of The Hari while connecting the hotels to its global distribution network, commercial infrastructure and loyalty ecosystem.
That model is central to Vignette Collection, which was launched in 2021 to attract independent luxury properties that want the reach of a global hotel group without losing their own names or identities.
The Hari fits that strategy closely. Its hotels emphasize design, art and local cultural connections, including rotating art collections, neighborhood experiences and the Hari Art Prize for emerging artists.
Harilela Group Chairman and CEO Aron Harilela said the partnership gives The Hari a stronger platform for future international growth while keeping the character of the brand intact.
The deal also reflects a broader trend across luxury hospitality, where major hotel groups are increasingly using soft brands and collection models to grow faster through conversions rather than building entirely new properties.
For IHG, the three-hotel agreement delivers instant presence in established luxury markets and a new flagship opportunity in Singapore. For The Hari, it provides scale without requiring the brand to become standardized.
