Key Notes

  • Celebrity Xcite’s seven-night Caribbean cruises from Miami are open for booking ahead of a November 2028 debut.
  • Celebrity Beyond will offer nine three-night Bahamas cruises from Fort Lauderdale between November 2028 and March 2029.
  • Winter 2028–2029 Caribbean bookings opened November 3, while summer 2028 sailings go on sale December 9, 2026.

Celebrity Cruises has opened bookings for Celebrity Xcite, its sixth Edge Series ship, ahead of a November 2028 debut sailing seven-night Caribbean cruises from Miami. The new vessel will join a ten-ship Caribbean deployment as the line expands both week-long holidays and shorter escapes.

The November 3 announcement covers the winter 2028–2029 season. Summer 2028 Caribbean sailings have a separate booking date of December 9, 2026.

Celebrity Xcite Will Sail Seven-Night Cruises From Miami

Xcite’s inaugural programme centres on rotating itineraries through the eastern Caribbean and Virgin Islands. The announced destination lineup includes:

  • St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Antigua and the British Virgin Islands.
  • St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic.

Those destinations are spread across different sailings. Guests choosing a particular departure will need to compare its port calls, rather than expect every island on a single seven-night cruise.

Celebrity’s ship page highlights beach visits and natural attractions such as The Baths on Virgin Gorda. Xcite will be a sister ship to Celebrity Xcel, which entered service in November 2025.

Celebrity Beyond Adds the Edge Series’ First Weekend Cruises

The wider deployment also introduces a shorter way to try an Edge Series ship. Celebrity Beyond will operate nine three-night Bahamas cruises from Fort Lauderdale between November 2028 and March 2029, the first short sailings for the series.

Beyond will also offer longer Caribbean journeys and Panama Canal visits. That gives the same ship two distinct roles in the programme: long-weekend breaks for travellers with limited time, and extended itineraries for those prioritising more destinations.

The shorter cruises are aboard Beyond, not Xcite. For travellers specifically seeking the newest ship, Miami’s seven-night departures are the relevant option in this announcement.

A Bigger Caribbean Season Across the Fleet

Celebrity Silhouette will introduce the line’s first full summer season in the Southern Caribbean, with eight- to 12-night voyages. Barbados, Saint Lucia, Martinique and Grenada are among the destinations announced.

Elsewhere, Celebrity Xcel will offer more opportunities to visit Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao from Fort Lauderdale. Celebrity Reflection will continue sailing the Caribbean year-round from the same port, while the overall deployment extends across four Florida departure ports.

The ocean programme is expanding alongside Celebrity’s move into European river cruising. We recently covered Celebrity Compass completing its float-out ahead of an August 2027 debut. Xcite’s booking launch adds a new ocean-going choice for the following year.
