Omni Hotels & Resorts has opened reservations for stays beginning March 2, 2027, at Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita in Mexico. The 50-acre oceanfront property in Riviera Nayarit is scheduled for a spring 2027 debut, although the company says the official opening date will be announced separately.

The project marks Omni’s return to the country, where it previously operated a resort in Cancun. The company describes Pontoque as its first luxury resort in Mexico, a narrower claim than its first Mexican property.

The Punta de Mita development will include 202 guest rooms, 28 junior suites and 14 suites with private plunge pools. Two four-bedroom villas overlooking the coast add a larger accommodation option for families or groups seeking more private space.

Five food and beverage venues are planned. Beachfront signature restaurant Tatei will emphasize seafood, while Zuravé will focus on regional cooking and Esmeralda will offer all-day dining. A pool bar and grill will serve casual meals, and Periiku will combine coffee, ice cream and grab-and-go items.

Leisure facilities will include five pools, private access to a 1,250-foot stretch of beach and a dedicated kids’ club. The oceanfront fitness center will provide indoor and outdoor exercise areas, giving the resort facilities for both active stays and conventional beach vacations.

The 11,105-square-foot spa will be arranged across 12 standalone buildings with 14 treatment rooms. Its village-style layout makes wellness a distinct part of the property rather than simply an amenity within the main hotel.

Meetings and celebrations form another substantial component. Omni Pontoque will offer 27,295 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including the Parota Ballroom and adjoining Papelillo Event Lawn. The lawn can accommodate up to 750 guests, while three breakout rooms and an ocean-facing pavilion provide alternatives for smaller events.

The mix positions the property to serve leisure guests alongside weddings, corporate gatherings and leadership retreats. Those different uses are reflected in the range of accommodation, dining venues and spaces that connect indoor meetings with outdoor receptions.

Guests will also be able to arrange guided nature tours and boat charters to the Islas Marietas through the resort. For now, reservations cover selected room and suite categories. Travelers considering early stays should distinguish the March 2 booking availability from the formal opening announcement still to come.
