Dusit Hotels and Resorts will open Dusit Princess Ipoh on October 1, 2026, adding its third branded property in Malaysia. The 268-room hotel is an established property owned by Plenitude Berhad that will begin operating under a new identity, expanding Dusit’s presence through an existing building.
The upper-midscale hotel sits beside the Perak Turf Club, less than five minutes by car from central Ipoh, according to Dusit. Sultan Azlan Shah Airport is approximately 10 minutes away and offers direct connections from Singapore. The city lies roughly 200 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur.
The property’s mix of family accommodation, meeting rooms and leisure facilities is intended to attract several types of demand. Dusit is positioning it for short breaks, longer stays, business trips and events, with Ipoh’s food traditions, heritage streets and surrounding limestone landscapes providing the destination appeal.
Family Rooms and Event Facilities
Accommodation spans five categories, from 25-square-meter Superior Rooms to 58-square-meter Family Suites. Family Rooms and Family Suites include kitchenettes, giving guests more flexibility over meals during longer visits. Rooms also provide workspaces, smart TVs, safes and high-speed Wi-Fi.
Facilities include an outdoor pool, Kids Club, self-service laundry, accessible rooms and a prayer room. Guests will have access to a 6,580-square-foot fitness center with extended opening hours. The Atrium restaurant will serve breakfast with local and regional dishes, including nasi lemak, roti canai and dim sum, alongside continental choices. Local and international dishes will remain available throughout the day, while a lobby coffee shop will offer drinks, pastries and desserts.
For group business, three venues provide approximately 964 square meters of event space. The main Kinta Ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests theater-style or 300 for round-table events, with smaller spaces available for meetings and social gatherings.

Ipoh’s tourism identity reflects its development during the tin-mining boom, with historic shophouses, traditional coffee shops and independent businesses shaping its old town. Nearby limestone formations and cave temples add opportunities to combine city sightseeing with excursions into the Kinta Valley.
The hotel’s Discover the Soul of Ipoh program will include locally led heritage photography walks, food trails, pomelo orchard visits and Labu Sayong pottery workshops.
