Omni Hotels & Resorts has opened reservations for Omni Pontoque at Punta de Mita, giving travelers a first opportunity to book the forthcoming beachfront resort in Mexico. The company confirms a March 2027 debut on its official property website.
Selected rooms and suites are available for stays beginning March 2, 2027. That booking date should be distinguished from the formal opening date, which the reservation announcement says will be disclosed later.
The 50-acre oceanfront development in Riviera Nayarit combines accommodations for couples and families with a substantial meetings and weddings operation. Its mix of villas, wellness facilities and event venues points to several potential sources of demand beyond conventional beach vacations.
Rooms, Restaurants and a Village-Style Spa
Omni Pontoque’s planned accommodation inventory includes 202 guest rooms, 28 junior suites, 14 suites with private plunge pools and two four-bedroom villas perched above the coast. The design pairs contemporary interiors with natural materials, while the larger accommodations provide options for families and guests seeking additional privacy.
The resort will have access to a 1,250-foot stretch of white-sand beach. A dedicated kids club and an oceanfront fitness center with indoor and outdoor exercise areas broaden its appeal across different age groups.
Dining will span five food and beverage venues. Signature restaurant Tatei will focus on seafood and coastal dishes, while Zuravé will combine regional culinary traditions with contemporary techniques. Esmeralda will provide all-day dining, complemented by a poolside bar and grill. Periiku will serve coffee, ice cream and market-style snacks.
Wellness is another substantial component. The 11,105-square-foot spa is planned as a collection of 12 standalone buildings containing 14 treatment rooms. Its layout gives the wellness offering a distinct setting within the wider resort, rather than concentrating every facility in the main hotel building.
Weddings and Meetings Expand the Business Mix
Omni Pontoque will offer 27,295 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, positioning it for destination weddings, executive retreats and the wider meetings and incentives market.
The 5,869-square-foot Parota Ballroom will connect to the 6,475-square-foot Papelillo Event Lawn, which the announcement says can accommodate up to 750 guests. Three private breakout rooms are planned for smaller gatherings, while Tzicuri Pavilion will add a patio and lawn overlooking the Pacific.
For organizers, that combination creates scope to hold formal sessions indoors and receptions outside without moving attendees between properties. For Omni, it suggests an effort to attract group bookings alongside individual leisure stays.
Activities arranged through the resort are expected to include guided nature outings and boat charters to the Islas Marietas. Mountain trails, ATV routes and ziplines will offer additional ways to explore the surrounding area.
The reservation launch moves the project into a more practical phase for travel advisors and event planners, who can begin matching accommodation and venue options to prospective trips. Further opening details remain forthcoming, making the distinction between bookable stays and the official launch especially relevant for early guests.
