Key Notes

  • More than 90 Mövenpick hotels join the October 26–November 27 collection.
  • Guests, visitors and local residents can donate items requested by each hotel’s charity partner.
  • The initiative has collected more than 130,000 kilograms of essential goods since 2015.

Mövenpick has launched its 2026 Kilo of Kindness collection across more than 90 hotels worldwide, giving guests and nearby residents a way to support charities in the communities they visit. The global campaign runs from October 26 to November 27.

The Accor brand is in the initiative’s eleventh year. Alongside the annual collection, it is broadening the programme to include volunteering, fundraising and other local partnerships.

How to Take Part

Each participating hotel works with a local charity to identify useful donations. The campaign page explains how to find a property and confirm what it needs before making a drop-off:

  • Check the participating hotel’s requested items, rather than assuming every property accepts the same goods
  • Bring clean clothing and other goods in new or gently used condition
  • Choose non-perishable food that is still within its expiry date
  • Leave donations at the hotel’s designated lobby collection point

A room booking is not required: visitors and community members can contribute too. Local collection dates may vary, so checking with the property is worthwhile. Mövenpick says the initiative has gathered more than 130,000 kilograms of essential goods since its launch in 2015.

Chocolate Workshops Add Another Way to Help

At Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh in Vietnam, the 2026 programme includes a chocolate-making experience running from October 26 to November 27. The resort lists the activity at VND600,000 per person, with 15% of proceeds supporting students at Sơn Tân Primary School and Họa Mi Kindergarten.

Participants choose a chocolate base, add three toppings and finish their creation with personalised packaging. The activity illustrates how some hotels are combining guest experiences with fundraising, alongside the traditional donation collection.

The resort’s wider 2026 initiative aims to reach 5,000 kilograms of contributions. That is a target, rather than a total already collected, and forms part of a local programme that also includes community activities.

Local Charities Shape the Campaign

Across the Middle East, participating hotels are tailoring their activities to different community needs. Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai is working with the Malabes Project by Beit Al Khair Society on clothing donations, while Mövenpick Resort Petra is supporting the Wadi Musa Orphan Association through clothing, food and educational supplies.

For travellers, the useful first step is choosing a participating property and asking what its partner actually needs. The collection offers a practical way to contribute during a stay, while also remaining open to people who simply live nearby.
