Navan said it is developing TravelClaw, an agentic AI layer designed to contact travelers proactively during trips through messaging apps, email, or the company’s native apps. The feature is intended to operate in the background and provide support without requiring a traveler to initiate a request.
Built on Navan Cloud, TravelClaw will draw on traveler preferences and trip data to send context-based suggestions, including airport walking times and checkpoint reminders. The agents will be available to users of Navan’s main platform as well as Navan Edge, the company’s app for unmanaged business travelers.
The launch points to a broader shift in corporate travel tech from reactive chat tools toward persistent AI assistance. For Navan, that could strengthen its position as travel platforms compete to embed more automated support into the booking and trip management process.
