Lufthansa will launch nonstop flights between Phoenix and Munich on August 3, 2027, creating the first direct connection between the two cities. Phoenix Sky Harbor confirmed that the year-round service will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The route is scheduled to use an Airbus A350-900 with 293 seats across three cabins: 48 in business class, 21 in premium economy and 224 in economy. The aircraft type is specified in Lufthansa’s published summer 2027 route plan.
Under the announced schedule, flights leave Munich at 1:20 pm and reach Phoenix at 4 pm. The return departs Phoenix at 5:50 pm and arrives in Munich at 1:25 pm the following day. All times are local and remain subject to schedule changes.
The service will link Arizona directly with Lufthansa’s Munich hub, providing onward connections across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. For travellers continuing beyond Germany, the useful comparison will be the full itinerary, including connection times and the days on which the nonstop operates.
The addition forms part of Lufthansa Group’s summer expansion, with ten new intercontinental connections and numerous frequency increases announced for 2027.
