Hyatt has opened Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, introducing its Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts brand to the Dominican Republic and expanding its already significant all-inclusive presence in the Caribbean.

Located on the shores of Cabeza de Toro in Punta Cana, the adults-only property features 467 guestrooms and suites. Interiors use natural textures, warm neutral colors and locally inspired details intended to reflect the surrounding coastal landscape while maintaining the relaxed, contemporary style associated with the Hyatt Vivid brand.

The resort is positioned around a more flexible approach to all-inclusive travel, with programming organized around three themes. Flow focuses on movement, wellness and rhythm; discovery emphasizes cultural immersion and connections with the destination; and presence centers on mindfulness, relaxation and sensory experiences.

That approach is reflected in a broad activity program. Guests can take part in paddleboard yoga, wellness sessions built around Dominican coffee, creative workshops, live music, stargazing and local cultural experiences. Other activities include art-focused programming and social events designed to encourage interaction without relying on rigid schedules.

Dining is another major part of the concept. Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana offers five à la carte restaurants, an international food hall, a bar and grill, and seven bars and lounges. Zenda Wellness Café focuses on lighter and wellness-oriented food, while the broader culinary program combines Dominican ingredients with international influences. The resort also includes a hidden speakeasy as part of its social offering.

Wellness facilities are centered around Zenda Spa, where treatments draw on Dominican botanicals, cacao, tropical fruits and local traditions. Additional amenities include indoor and outdoor fitness areas, functional training spaces, padel and pickleball courts, along with yoga and mindfulness sessions.

The opening also reinforces Hyatt’s growing scale in the Dominican Republic. The company’s Inclusive Collection now includes 30 resorts and more than 16,000 rooms across the country. Globally, the Inclusive Collection has more than 150 resorts and nearly 58,000 rooms across Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.

Hyatt is continuing to expand that portfolio in Punta Cana, with Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana also planned for 2026 and Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana scheduled to open in 2029.

The new resort also reflects changing expectations around all-inclusive travel. Younger travelers increasingly value predictable pricing and convenience, but they are also looking for more personalized experiences, wellness options and stronger connections to local culture. Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana is designed to combine those priorities with the simplicity of an all-inclusive stay, giving Hyatt another way to compete in one of the Caribbean’s most established resort destinations.
