Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Resorts in Mexico Go All-Inclusive

Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum are now all-inclusive, but their age policies and booking benefits differ. Here’s what travelers need to know.

Hilton has converted Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya into all-inclusive resorts, giving travelers two different ways to book a luxury stay on Mexico’s Caribbean coast. Both properties changed their operating model on October 1, 2026, with dining, drinks and selected resort experiences brought into the stay.

The biggest distinction for anyone planning a 2027 vacation is the age policy. Hilton confirmed that Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya will accept only registered guests aged 18 and older from January 10, 2027. Conrad Tulum will continue welcoming families, alongside a dedicated adults-only Ceiba Club experience.

The conversion builds on earlier package offers. We covered Waldorf Astoria’s earlier package in May; the latest announcement makes all-inclusive the resort model and introduces a separate change to who can stay there.

Waldorf Astoria Becomes Adults-Only in January

Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya is positioning its 173 rooms and suites around a quieter oceanfront stay, with a personal concierge coordinating dining reservations, wellness appointments, transport and excursions. Its culinary program includes Mexican cuisine at Chaya and JA’O, along with seafood and live-fire cooking at Malpeque.

For couples and adult groups, the January change makes the resort’s intended atmosphere clearer. Families with children need to pay attention to the arrival date: the 18-and-over rule begins on January 10, rather than on the October date when the all-inclusive conversion took effect.

Conrad Tulum Retains Its Family Focus

Conrad Tulum is taking a broader approach, combining its all-inclusive offering with programming for different generations. Dining ranges from Mediterranean dishes at Maratea to Japanese cuisine at Ukai and Kengai, while the MYTHOS World kids’ club provides activities for younger guests.

The planned Ceiba Club experience is reserved for registered guests aged 18 and older and includes access to Autor, Ceiba Lounge and Carbon Restaurant, Pool & Beach. Travelers interested in those venues should confirm the room or rate that gives them access. An adults-only section within a family resort offers a different setting from a property where every guest must be an adult.

What the All-Inclusive Rates Cover

The resorts’ Waldorf inclusions and Conrad inclusions list dining across participating restaurants and bars, premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, a daily refreshed minibar and 24-hour in-room dining. Taxes, gratuities and service charges are also included, along with daily curated activities and concierge support.

Those published benefits provide a useful starting point for comparing the total cost of a stay. Check the participating venues and the conditions attached to your chosen rate, especially if a particular restaurant, club area or wellness experience is central to the trip. The announcement does not provide a single nightly price for either resort.

Transfers and Excursions Depend on Booking Eligibility

Private airport transfers and one selected resort experience or excursion have additional conditions. Both properties’ current booking pages specify eligible reservations of at least four consecutive nights. The transfer benefit applies to qualifying bookings through Hilton channels or a valid Global Distribution System on an eligible rate plan.

Waldorf Astoria lists round-trip transfers from Cancún Airport, while Conrad lists Cancún or Tulum Airport. The selected experience is not included in group bookings, and experiences vary by season and availability. Before arranging flights or paying separately for an excursion, confirm the eligible airport, rate plan and included experience with the resort or booking advisor.

Existing Reservations Keep Their Confirmed Terms

Hilton says existing reservations will be honored according to the plan and terms confirmed when they were booked. Guests should therefore verify their own reservation’s inclusions rather than assume that the new resort model automatically changes an older booking.

The exception concerns Waldorf Astoria reservations with guests under 18 arriving on or after January 10, 2027. The property says it will help those travelers identify alternative accommodation. Anyone affected should contact the resort before finalizing the rest of their travel arrangements.

We have also covered Hyatt’s Mexico plans as luxury brands expand their all-inclusive offerings. Hilton’s two conversions add another choice, but the practical decision remains personal: choose the age policy, dining access and booking benefits that suit your party, then compare the full cost for your dates.
