Emirates is trying to turn more summer flights through Dubai into city stays, launching a promotion that gives eligible passengers complimentary nights at the five-star JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. The offer applies whether Dubai is the final destination or a stopover of more than 24 hours, reinforcing the airline’s strategy of using its hub as more than a transit point.
Passengers who book Emirates return tickets between June 22 and July 12, 2026, can qualify for the hotel offer for travel between June 25 and September 30. First Class and Business Class customers are eligible for a complimentary two-night stay, while Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers can receive one free night. The stay is at the JW Marriott Marquis, a prominent hotel in central Dubai with restaurants, spa facilities, a gym and an outdoor pool overlooking the skyline.
The promotion arrives as Dubai works to keep visitor demand active through the hotter summer months. Emirates is positioning the city as a year-round destination with indoor attractions, shopping, museums, art spaces, theme parks, dining and family-friendly entertainment. The airline’s message is straightforward: passengers already passing through Dubai can add a short break without building a separate trip from scratch.
The offer also connects with Emirates’ Dubai Experience platform, which helps travelers plan tailored 24- and 48-hour itineraries. That is particularly useful for stopover passengers who may have limited time and want a structured way to see major attractions, dine out or schedule activities between flights.
Emirates is also bringing back My Emirates Pass for summer 2026. The program gives passengers access to more than 600 offers across Dubai by showing a physical or digital Emirates boarding pass and valid identification at participating venues. Discounts include restaurants, spas, retailers and attractions, giving travelers another reason to move beyond the airport during a layover.
The timing overlaps with Dubai Summer Surprises, which runs from July 2 to August 30. The annual event includes shopping promotions, concerts, cultural programming, wellness activities and limited-time experiences across malls and lifestyle destinations. For Emirates, the festival gives the hotel promotion a broader citywide framework.
The campaign also reflects how airlines are competing on more than seat capacity. Emirates is bundling flights with accommodation, discounts, booking flexibility and travel cover to make long-haul journeys feel easier and more valuable. The airline currently serves more than 138 global destinations and is highlighting one complimentary date change on bookings made after April 2, 2026, alongside new travel insurance options in select markets.
For travelers, the offer may be most attractive on long-haul itineraries where a Dubai stopover can break up the journey. For Emirates, it is a way to keep passengers connected to the city, strengthen Dubai’s tourism pipeline and make its global hub feel like part of the vacation rather than just a place to change planes.
