Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for more than 300 departures from Port Canaveral in 2028–29, offering a choice of five ships and cruises lasting from three to 14 days. The program spans the Bahamas and the Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean.
The Carnival Corporation brand’s deployment announcement lists Carnival Breeze, Carnival Firenze, Carnival Festivale, Carnival Glory and Mardi Gras. Across the schedule, the ships will make more than 200 visits to Celebration Key, the line’s exclusive destination on Grand Bahama.
Short Bahamas Breaks and Week-Long Cruises
The quickest way to narrow the new schedule is by the amount of time available:
- Carnival Glory and Mardi Gras: three- to five-day departures to the Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean. Every Carnival Glory sailing in the program includes Celebration Key.
- Carnival Breeze and Carnival Firenze: rotating week-long Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, with destinations across the program including Amber Cove, San Juan, St. Thomas, Belize, Cozumel and Isla Tropicale.
- Carnival Festivale: six- and eight-day options, including Eastern and Southern Caribbean voyages.
These are itinerary ranges across each ship’s program. The port list and time ashore should be checked against the individual departure rather than treated as a single route shared by every sailing.
Festivale Adds Aruba and Curaçao Options
Six-day Eastern Caribbean cruises on Festivale will call at Celebration Key and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Its eight-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries include San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten, while Southern Caribbean options feature Aruba and Curaçao.
We previously covered Festivale’s booking launch for its 2027 debut. The newly opened program gives travelers later dates to compare, particularly if they want a longer itinerary without committing to a two-week cruise.
Four Longer Journeys on Carnival Breeze
Carnival Breeze will offer four 14-day Carnival Journeys departures between October 2028 and February 2029. Across those voyages, the line lists 13 Southern Caribbean destinations, including Barbados, Grenada, Antigua, Aruba, Curaçao, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Maarten and St. Kitts.
The four departures provide a different kind of holiday from the short Bahamas options. Compare the actual sequence of ports and sea days when deciding whether the longer cruise fits the time and budget available.
What to Check Before Booking
Celebration Key will feature prominently, but its 200-plus calls are spread across the deployment. The wider program also includes other Paradise Collection destinations; a booking does not automatically visit every one.
The current destination guide separates included features from paid extras such as cabanas, rentals, excursions and premium beach-club access. Travelers planning a Bahamas beach day should review the options offered for their sailing, particularly this far ahead.
Carnival has not quoted one starting fare for the entire deployment. Use the booking search to compare the total for the chosen departure, cabin and party, then review the deposit and cancellation conditions before committing.
