Explora Journeys has named Lara Koslow president for North America, effective November 30, 2026. The company’s statement also sets out a new role for current regional president Chris Austin, who will become president, luxury travel partnerships and report to Koslow.
Koslow will be based in Miami and oversee commercial management, marketing and sales across the United States, Canada and Mexico. She will report to Rubén A. Rodríguez, North America CEO of MSC Group’s Cruise Division, and work closely with Explora’s global president, Anna Nash.
She joins from Boston Consulting Group, where she spent more than 20 years advising consumer brands, particularly in travel, hospitality and leisure. Most recently, she was a managing director and senior partner leading the firm’s global customer business.
Austin will retain responsibility for regional trade sales, trade marketing and sales support, while remaining a brand ambassador. His expanded remit includes new distribution channels and partnerships, plus work with MSC Cruises North America to broaden distribution for MSC Yacht Club and identify opportunities between the brands.
The appointments accompany a wider expansion of the MSC Group-owned luxury brand. Beyond its ocean fleet, Explora has signed a letter of intent with Den Breejen Shipyard for river vessels. As we covered in our river cruise plans, sales are expected to open in 2027; delivery dates and initial itineraries remain unannounced.
