Emirates NBD has launched a free AI travel assistant developed with Visa and Tripadvisor, letting users build trip plans without a bank account or login. The English-language service, which the bank calls the UAE’s first bank-led AI travel assistant, is open to customers and non-customers.
Travellers can describe their preferences, budget and travel style to receive personalised itineraries, destination recommendations and suggestions for lesser-known attractions. The live service is branded TripadvisorGo and presents a conversational interface alongside city selection and a map, bringing trip research into one planning tool.
According to the bank’s announcement, recommendations draw on Tripadvisor’s database of more than 1 billion reviews and 8 million listings. The platform offers enhanced customisation for 15 destinations popular with UAE travellers, while the wider service is designed to provide destination ideas and itineraries worldwide.
The assistant also highlights Visa cardholder benefits, including hotel discounts and car rental offers. Access to the planning tool is free, but redeeming an offer depends on its conditions. The bank’s offer terms specify eligible card tiers, validity periods and redemption requirements, which travellers should check before paying.
The partnership extends Tripadvisor’s reach into another travel planning channel. For travellers using the new assistant, generated itineraries are a starting point: confirm current opening hours, availability and final prices with the relevant provider before booking.
