Emirates has launched daily, year-round flights between Dubai and Helsinki, opening what the airline describes as the only direct service operating throughout the year between Finland and the United Arab Emirates. The carrier confirmed that its first flight departed Dubai on October 1, 2026, marking Helsinki’s entry into its network.
Under the airline’s latest timetable, flight EK167 leaves Dubai at 8:15 a.m. and arrives in Helsinki at 2:30 p.m. The return flight, EK168, departs Helsinki at 4:20 p.m. and reaches Dubai at 12:20 a.m. the following day. All times are local.
The route uses an Airbus A350 carrying 298 passengers across Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Business Class has a 1-2-1 layout with fully flat seats, while Premium Economy offers reclining leather seats and an enhanced dining service. The launch follows the carrier’s broader investment in Premium Economy upgrades, which we recently covered.
The schedule is designed to connect Finnish travelers through Dubai to destinations across Asia, the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia. Emirates says passengers on the inaugural service originated in more than 20 cities across its network, including Mumbai, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City and Sydney.
The connection also adds freight capacity, with Emirates SkyCargo offering up to 16 tonnes in the aircraft’s cargo hold on each Helsinki flight. The airline identifies pharmaceuticals, electronics, machinery, timber and perishables among the potential trade flows. Passenger tickets are available through Emirates’ website, its app and travel agents.
