Mel draws on traveler profiles, trip histories and company information to answer policy and itinerary questions, according to Corporate Traveler. Its recommendations are intended to reflect individual preferences alongside the employer’s travel rules, giving employees answers tied to their own managed travel program.
The assistant also provides information during disruptions, including flight delays and cancellations. When a situation needs additional help, it can escalate the issue to a Corporate Traveler consultant. A consultant can then handle rebooking and more complicated problems, combining immediate information with human assistance.
Corporate Traveler, part of Flight Centre Travel Group, focuses on small and midsize businesses, where travel administration often sits alongside an employee’s main job.
