PredictX Launches Meridian to Model Travel Policy Changes

PredictX’s Meridian lets corporate travel teams model policy changes, compare projected savings and benchmark rules before putting them into practice.

PredictX has launched Meridian, a platform that lets corporate travel teams test policy changes against their own programme data before introducing new rules. Managers upload an existing travel policy, then model how different decisions could affect spending, emissions and business operations.

Its Policy Lab allows buyers to combine changes to advance-booking windows, class-of-service thresholds and hotel compliance. The aim is to compare scenarios and their likely consequences, giving travel teams evidence to discuss with finance leaders and other stakeholders before changing employee travel requirements.

A separate Optimizer starts with an annual budget-reduction target and the policy changes a company is willing to consider. PredictX says it analyses combinations intended to meet that target with the least disruption. Those outputs are modelled estimates, rather than a guarantee of realised savings.

The platform also benchmarks policies against anonymised market data, including online-booking compliance and business-class thresholds. Users can ask questions and run Meridian simulations through PredictX’s Cogent AI platform, which can suggest potential changes based on the results.

PredictX describes Cogent as a natural-language workspace drawing on connected booking, card and expense records. We have also covered ITM and BCD Travel’s AI adoption blueprint, which helps buyers evaluate practical uses and human oversight. Meridian applies scenario modelling to the specific question of which travel-policy changes to pursue.
