Inside Courtyard Danang Han River’s Ballroom and Skyline Event Spaces

Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River pairs 13 meeting venues with Level 45 event options, 296 rooms and a central riverside location in Vietnam.

Business events at Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River can move from a high-ceilinged ballroom to a gathering above the city. The riverside hotel is highlighting its 13 meeting venues and an outdoor event space on Level 45, giving organisers several ways to combine formal sessions with a change of setting.

The property opened in May 2025 as Vietnam’s first Courtyard by Marriott. Its October announcement focuses on meetings and corporate gatherings, supported by 296 guest rooms within the same building. This is an update on an operating hotel’s event offering, rather than a new hotel opening.

A Ballroom With Room for Different Formats

The Grand Ballroom is the main venue for larger gatherings. Marriott’s capacity chart lists 385 square metres of floor space and an 8.5-metre ceiling, with room for 340 people in a theatre arrangement, 260 for a banquet or 380 for a standing reception.

Those figures describe different uses of the same room. A conference requiring tables, staging or exhibition displays needs its own floor plan; the largest published reception capacity should not be used as the headcount for every event.

Smaller venues allow for a more contained programme. The Summit Function Room is listed at 169 square metres, accommodating 160 people theatre-style or 100 for a banquet. The hotel identifies The Summit as a Level 45 venue with panoramic city views, alongside its separate outdoor event offering.

A Central Base Along the Han River

Courtyard Danang Han River sits at 58 Bach Dang Street in Hai Chau Ward. According to the hotel’s property details, Da Nang International Airport is 4.4 kilometres away, making arrival transfers an important but relatively short part of the event itinerary.

The hotel states that it does not provide an airport shuttle. Organisers bringing in a group should arrange transport separately and leave enough time for baggage collection and staggered arrivals, rather than build the first session around the earliest scheduled landing.

For guests staying overnight, the property also has indoor and outdoor pools and a fitness centre. The rooftop pool offers a different way to spend a break from meetings, while the riverfront setting gives the stay a clear connection to central Da Nang.

Dining Can Be Part of the Programme

The hotel’s restaurant guide lists The Landmark Restaurant, The Chill Bean espresso and brunch venue, the Lobby Lounge with TWG tea, and M45 Rooftop Bar & Omakase. The selection ranges from local and international dishes to Japanese dining and more informal coffee stops.

For a corporate group, that creates scope to distinguish a working lunch from a smaller dinner or an evening gathering. Public restaurant offerings and opening hours do not establish what is included in a conference package, however. Menus, dietary requirements and private-use arrangements should be agreed with the events team.

What to Confirm Before Booking an Event

A useful proposal should connect the meeting space, bedrooms and social programme. Ask the hotel to confirm:

  • The exact layout: Capacity after screens, stages, production equipment and any interpretation facilities are installed.
  • The room block: Available bedroom types, arrival dates and the deadline for releasing unused rooms.
  • The outdoor alternative: A suitable indoor backup and the timing of any weather-related decision.

Also allow for the transitions between sessions. A rooftop reception may be a welcome change of scene, but the schedule still needs to account for moving the group, preparing the space and serving food without rushing the next part of the programme.

Before paying a deposit, request an itemised quotation covering venue hire, audiovisual equipment, catering, accommodation and cancellation terms. The published capacities and photographs help identify a shortlist; the agreed floor plan and contract establish what your particular event will receive.
