Breeze Airways is adding Boston, Buffalo, Latrobe and Santo Domingo to its network in 2027, opening new options for East Coast beach breaks and trips to the Dominican Republic. The expansion combines 22 new routes with a particularly large increase in service at Myrtle Beach.
The airline’s announcement includes both nonstop flights and BreezeThru itineraries, which make an intermediate stop without a change of aircraft. That distinction matters when comparing journey times: the headline total does not mean 22 new nonstop routes.
Boston, Buffalo and Latrobe Join the Map
Boston will receive daily nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach from May 4, 2027, alongside daily same-plane service to Akron-Canton. Buffalo’s additions are concentrated around the start of summer: Raleigh-Durham is scheduled for late June with four weekly flights, followed by twice-weekly Myrtle Beach service on July 1 and Charleston flights on July 2.
Latrobe, Pennsylvania, will gain twice-weekly Myrtle Beach service in February, followed by twice-weekly Orlando flights from May 26. Together, the additions give travelers in the three new U.S. markets more ways to reach southern destinations without connecting through a major hub.
Myrtle Beach Gets 11 New Nonstop Routes
Myrtle Beach is the biggest concentration of new flying in the announcement. Alongside Boston, Buffalo and Latrobe, the airline is adding Albany, Burlington, Columbus, New Haven, Portland in Maine, Portsmouth, Stewart/Newburgh and Syracuse.
The eight additional routes are scheduled to launch between May 26 and May 28, with two flights a week on each. Boston is the daily service in the new lineup, giving travelers there more flexibility over the length of a beach break.
According to the airport announcement, the additions take Breeze to 25 nonstop destinations from Myrtle Beach. The carrier expects to become the airport’s largest airline by both seats offered and destinations served in the second quarter of 2027. That is a projection tied to its planned schedule, rather than a description of its position today.
Tampa Gains Year-Round Santo Domingo Flights
The international addition links Tampa with Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic’s capital, from June 18, 2027. Tampa International Airport says the service will operate year-round on Mondays and Fridays using Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Tickets are already on sale.
The route adds a different Dominican Republic arrival point to Breeze’s Tampa network, where the airline launched Punta Cana flights in July 2026. Travelers should choose the airport that fits their itinerary rather than treating the two destinations as interchangeable.
The A220 also connects this expansion with the fleet transition we covered earlier: Breeze has moved its scheduled services to an all-Airbus A220 fleet, ending the Embraer operation that helped establish the airline.
What to Check Before Booking
Frequency is the main practical difference across the new routes. A twice-weekly service can work well for a planned holiday, but it gives travelers fewer departure choices than a daily flight. Check the outbound and return dates together before committing to accommodation.
When comparing options, look at the complete itinerary, including any BreezeThru stop, and the total price with the baggage and seating you need. The routes are planned months ahead, so confirm the current timetable in Breeze’s booking system before making other nonrefundable arrangements.
