Singapore Airlines has been named the World’s Best Airline at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, reclaiming the top position from Qatar Airways and securing its sixth overall victory. The results were announced September 18 at the Langham Hotel in London, with more than 300 airlines represented in the survey results.
The Singapore-based carrier also received the World’s Best Economy Class and World’s Best Economy Class Onboard Catering awards. Those additional wins extend its recognition beyond premium cabins, highlighting the experience offered to passengers traveling in the airline’s largest seating category.

Despite losing the overall crown, Qatar Airways retained substantial recognition for premium travel. It won the World’s Best Business Class award for the thirteenth time, alongside honors for its Al Mourjan Business Lounge The Garden and its position as the Best Airline in the Middle East.
Qatar Airways also received the inaugural World’s Best Onboard Wi-Fi award. The new category reflects growing attention to connectivity as part of the passenger experience, alongside more established measures such as cabin comfort, catering and airport lounges.
Cathay Pacific collected awards for the World’s Best Cabin Crew and World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge. STARLUX Airlines, ranked thirteenth overall, received the World’s Cleanest Airline award.
In the budget segment, AirAsia was named the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for the seventeenth consecutive year. Scoot, Singapore Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary, secured the World’s Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline title for a sixth consecutive year, giving the group recognition across different fare and service models.
The results arrive as Singapore Airlines continues its international network expansion.
