IHG Plans Coffee-Inspired Noted Collection Hotel in Amman
IHG has signed a 50-room Noted Collection hotel in Amman with Al Ameed Coffee, combining premium accommodation with a coffee experience center.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement with Al Ameed Coffee for a 50-room hotel in Amman, bringing its new Noted Collection brand to Jordan through a property centered on coffee culture. Announced on September 21, the project will combine premium accommodation with a dedicated coffee reserve and experience center. No opening date has been announced.
The hotel will sit along one of the capital’s main gateway corridors connecting the city with Queen Alia International Airport. IHG describes the surrounding area as a developing district with expanding residential communities, commercial activity and transport connections. The announcement does not specify an airport transfer time or provide a detailed location.
Coffee will shape both the public spaces and the accommodation. The first two floors are planned as a food and beverage destination exploring coffee’s heritage, craftsmanship and rituals. The theme will continue through guestroom design and experiences during the stay, giving the property a clear identity built around a familiar part of Jordanian hospitality.
Al Ameed Coffee brings more than five decades of experience to the partnership. Managing partner Basel Daher described the hotel as an extension of the company’s work in coffee, translating its established identity into a broader hospitality experience. For guests, the concept promises a stay connected to a local brand rather than a theme developed solely for the hotel.
Noted Collection, introduced in February as IHG’s 21st brand, was created for independent upscale and upper-upscale hotels with individual design and character. Signature food and drink experiences form part of that positioning. The Amman agreement gives the collection a specific local focus, with coffee providing the central thread across the property.
The collection model also connects participating hotels with IHG’s commercial systems, global platform and IHG One Rewards. For an owner such as Al Ameed Coffee, that means pairing an established Jordanian identity with an international hotel network. IHG has not yet detailed the property’s room categories, rates or specific loyalty redemption arrangements.
Haitham Mattar, IHG’s regional managing director, said Jordan remained a long-term growth market, supported by national tourism priorities and a more diverse visitor base. He positioned the agreement as a way to preserve a locally rooted concept while giving it the distribution and support available through the wider group.
IHG currently operates eight hotels in Jordan across InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Resort. The planned Noted Collection property would introduce another brand to that portfolio and a smaller, coffee-focused accommodation option in the capital. Travelers interested in the concept will need to wait for an opening timetable and booking details before including it in an itinerary.
