IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened a new dual-branded property on Universal Boulevard in Orlando, pairing EVEN Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd by IHG with Staybridge Suites Orlando Universal Blvd by IHG. The 288-room hotel brings together two different stay styles under one roof in one of the country’s busiest leisure and convention markets.

Developed in partnership with Daiwa House Group, the property is positioned near Universal Orlando Resort, including Epic Universe, and the Orange County Convention Center. That location gives the hotel a broad audience, from families planning theme park trips to professionals attending meetings, trade shows and corporate events.

The opening also reflects a wider trend in hotel development. Dual-branded properties allow operators to serve different traveler needs while sharing amenities, staffing and real estate. In this case, IHG is combining the wellness-led focus of EVEN Hotels with the residential-style comfort of Staybridge Suites, creating a flexible product for short stays, longer visits and blended travel.

Two Brands Under One Roof

The property includes 120 EVEN Hotel rooms designed around rest, movement and recovery. Guestrooms feature premium bedding, cooling linens and spa-style showers, while the brand’s wellness identity continues through food, beverage and fitness spaces. Guests can use the 1,500-square-foot Athletic Studio, order morning lattes or on-the-go breakfast, and return later for cocktails and dinner at EVEN Kitchen & Bar.

Staybridge Suites adds 168 rooms focused on extended-stay comfort. The studio and one-bedroom suites include fully equipped kitchens, separate living areas and king or two-queen layouts. That makes the brand especially useful for families, longer-stay business travelers and guests who want more space than a standard hotel room.

Staybridge guests receive a complimentary daily breakfast buffet and can join the Staybridge Suites Social on select evenings, with light bites, beer and wine. They can also purchase food and drinks from EVEN Kitchen & Bar, giving both brands access to shared dining convenience.

Orlando Demand Shapes the Design

The hotel’s shared facilities are built around how travelers use Orlando. Amenities include a resort-style outdoor pool, 24-hour marketplace, game room, guest laundry, storage units for long-stay travelers and a courtyard with barbecue grills, fire pits and pet walking areas. The setup supports both vacation energy and practical travel needs.

For families, proximity to Universal Orlando Resort is the obvious draw. A hotel near major theme parks needs to help guests recharge after long days, handle changing schedules and offer spaces that work for children, parents and multi-day stays. The combination of kitchens, laundry, pool access and casual outdoor areas supports that pattern.

For business travelers, the Orange County Convention Center connection is equally important. Orlando remains one of the leading meetings destinations in the United States, and hotels near the convention corridor benefit from weekday business demand as well as weekend leisure traffic.

IHG executives framed the property around flexibility, personalization and the way modern guests move between working, relaxing and exploring. That positioning fits Orlando especially well because the city increasingly blends theme park tourism, corporate travel, sports events and extended family vacations.

For IHG, the opening strengthens its presence in a high-demand market while giving two brands a shared showcase. For travelers, it offers a practical choice: wellness-focused hotel room, extended-stay suite, or access to both sets of amenities in one Orlando location.
