Delta Air Lines will launch new nonstop service between Minneapolis and Maui on Dec. 19, becoming the only airline to operate the route. The addition is part of a broader expansion of Delta’s Hawaii network ahead of the winter travel season.
The Minneapolis–Maui route will operate five times weekly for most of the winter and increase to daily service during peak periods, including spring break and the winter holidays. Delta will deploy Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route, offering business class, premium economy and main cabin seating, targeting both leisure travelers and premium vacation demand.
In addition to the new Maui service, Delta will restore nonstop flights between Boston and Honolulu next winter. The Boston–Honolulu route will operate four times weekly, with daily service during holiday peaks. Delta previously operated the route during the winter 2024-25 season but suspended it this year. The route may now face less competition following the exit of Hawaiian Airlines from the market in November.
Delta is also increasing frequencies to Honolulu from Detroit and Atlanta next winter, while boosting service between Honolulu and New York City (JFK) beginning in April.
The expanded schedule reflects sustained demand for Hawaii leisure travel and Delta’s strategy of strengthening long-haul domestic routes with widebody aircraft and premium cabin offerings.
