Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando is gearing up for one of its most colorful annual traditions as it prepares to host Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval from February 7 through April 4, 2026.

The beloved celebration returns with an expanded blend of music, parades, and international cuisine, transforming the resort into a vibrant playground inspired by global Carnaval traditions as well as the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans.

For guests planning a winter trip to Florida, the event promises high-energy entertainment, dazzling visuals, and plenty of opportunities to indulge in themed food from around the world.

A Global Carnaval Celebration With New Experiences

Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration continues to evolve, and the 2026 edition takes the festivities to new heights. Guests can expect a nightly parade filled with glittering floats, street performers, and thousands of beads flying through the air. On select evenings, major musical artists will take the stage for live performances, adding another layer of excitement to the already dynamic atmosphere.

Food remains a major highlight of the event. Travelers can explore a huge range of international dishes, including flavors inspired by global Carnaval traditions and iconic New Orleans cuisine. From spicy Cajun staples to inventive festival-themed bites, the culinary program aims to deliver both authenticity and creativity.

Those seeking a more immersive experience can book the Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience, which combines a three-course meal with reserved access to ride aboard a parade float.

Participants can choose from five participating restaurants across the resort and, after dinner, take their place on a float to throw beads to cheering crowds – one of the most iconic elements of Mardi Gras. Prices start at just under $95 per person, with discounts for annual passholders.

Expanded Year-Round Programming at Universal Orlando

As Universal Orlando continues strengthening its event lineup, the resort is also bringing new energy to other seasonal celebrations throughout the year.

Together, these major seasonal events reflect the resort’s growing commitment to offering immersive experiences across all seasons, making it an increasingly attractive destination for travelers planning multi-trip visits.
