Royal Caribbean is expanding its entertainment lineup at sea with the introduction of a live stage version of America’s Got Talent aboard its upcoming cruise ship Legend of the Seas. The show, titled “America’s Got Talent LIVE,” will debut in August 2026 and mark the first time the popular television franchise has been adapted into a cruise ship production.
The performance will take place in the ship’s Royal Theater and will feature a variety of acts inspired by the global Got Talent franchise. Guests can expect appearances from performers connected to the television show, including magicians, musicians, acrobats, aerialists, and other variety performers.
According to Royal Caribbean, the production is designed to bring the energy of the long-running television program to a live cruise audience. The Got Talent franchise, created by Simon Cowell, has been one of the most successful entertainment formats worldwide since its debut in 2006 and continues to be a major summer television series in the United States.
The new show is part of Royal Caribbean’s broader strategy to make entertainment a central feature of its cruise experience.
A Major Entertainment Addition to Legend of the Seas
Legend of the Seas is part of Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class, a new generation of ships designed to offer large-scale entertainment, dining, and activity options. The vessel will launch its first cruises in July 2026 from Civitavecchia, Italy, near Rome.
In addition to the America’s Got Talent production, the ship will feature a Broadway-style adaptation of Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” bringing the story of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory to the stage with a cruise-exclusive production.
Other entertainment venues onboard include the AquaTheater, where guests can watch high-diving and aerial performances, and Absolute Zero, the largest ice arena at sea, which will host ice-skating shows and performances.
The ship will also include multiple nightlife and dining experiences designed to combine food with live entertainment. Among them is Hollywoodland Supper Club, a dinner show concept inspired by classic cinema, and Royal Railway – Legend Station, an immersive dining experience where guests enjoy a multi-course meal during a simulated train journey.
More than 20 bars, lounges, and music venues will also operate across the ship, offering everything from jazz performances to interactive piano shows.
Mediterranean Launch Followed by Caribbean Cruises
Legend of the Seas will begin its cruise operations in Europe during the summer of 2026. The ship will offer seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries departing from Barcelona, Spain, and Civitavecchia, Italy.
These routes will include stops in destinations such as Marseille in France, Naples in Italy, and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.
Later in the year, the ship will relocate to the United States to begin Caribbean sailings. Starting in November 2026, Legend of the Seas will operate Western and Southern Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Caribbean itineraries will include visits to Royal Caribbean’s private destination Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas as well as ports such as Oranjestad in Aruba and Willemstad in Curacao.
By combining major entertainment productions with destination-focused itineraries, Royal Caribbean is positioning Legend of the Seas as one of its most entertainment-driven cruise ships to date.
