Silversea is expanding its Venetian Society loyalty program by introducing new ways for members to earn points and by adding more reward milestones. Starting in July, guests will earn 1 VS Day for every day spent on a Silversea land program or city stay. Solo travelers will also receive one extra VS Day for each cruise day, on top of the cruise-day credits members already earn.

The cruise line is also filling in gaps between its existing reward levels. Until now, members received one benefit after their first VS Day and then did not unlock another until reaching 100 VS Days. Under the revised structure, members will now gain additional benefits at 15 VS Days and 50 VS Days, including a welcome offer and a $150 shipboard credit.

Silversea is also adding new perks for guests with 250 VS Days or more, including premium internet for one device and priority embarkation. The changes suggest cruise operators are putting more focus on retention and repeat spending by making loyalty programs more active between major milestones. For Silversea, the broader earning structure may also help tie pre- and post-cruise land products more closely to the core cruise offering.
