Disney Cruise Line has officially christened its newest ship, the Disney Destiny, at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ceremony unveiled Susan Egan, the voice of Meg from Disney’s Hercules, as the ship’s Godmother, a surprise revealed during the event on November 10.

The Disney Destiny is the third ship in the Wish-class, following the Disney Wish (2022) and Disney Treasure (2024). The vessel celebrates a “Heroes and Villains” theme, brought to life through vibrant design and storytelling. The ship’s exterior features Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots on the stern and Hero Minnie Mouse on the bow.

Entertainment highlights include a Broadway-style production of “Disney Hercules” with an original song and the immersive Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King dining experience, featuring live performances. Lounges and bars draw inspiration from Disney classics such as The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Cruella de Vil, while staterooms pay tribute to heroes from Hercules, Mulan, and Brave.

The Disney Destiny’s inaugural voyage departs November 20, offering 4- and 5-night sailings to The Bahamas and the Caribbean, including stops at Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
