Jumeirah is making a bold move into the world of high-end yacht travel, adding one of the world’s most iconic sailing superyachts to its Privé collection.
The Maltese Falcon, a celebrated 88-meter vessel renowned for its innovative DynaRig sailing system and award-winning design, will now operate as an ultra-luxury cruising experience curated entirely under the Jumeirah banner. This marks a strategic expansion for the hospitality brand, elevating its portfolio beyond hotels, private islands, and estates to include exclusive global voyages at sea.
After undergoing an extensive refit, the Maltese Falcon is preparing to welcome just 12 guests on bespoke journeys across the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Its inaugural sailing under Jumeirah Privé departs from Antigua this month, setting the stage for a new era of travel tailored to ultra-wealthy clients seeking privacy, personalization and exceptional service.
The yacht now reflects Jumeirah’s signature approach to design and hospitality, with refreshed interiors, refined amenities and upgraded engineering that enhance comfort and performance on the open water.
A New Standard of Ultra-Luxury Cruising
Jumeirah’s entry into yacht cruising is more than a portfolio expansion – it represents a shift toward fully customized, high-touch travel experiences. A dedicated wellness area, massage room, fitness studio, three-deck atrium and private VIP deck on the flybridge highlight the yacht’s focus on wellbeing and relaxation.
The master suite spans the full beam of the yacht, while four additional cabins offer spacious, beautifully designed accommodations. Outdoor spaces include a rotating circular sunbed and an outdoor cinema projected onto the lower sail, creating a dramatic setting for evenings at sea.
Recreational options further elevate the experience. Guests can enjoy jet skis, JetSurf boards, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkeling gear, allowing for immersive exploration of secluded bays and coastline. Combined with Jumeirah’s signature culinary program and onboard wellness offerings, the superyacht delivers a floating retreat where every aspect is tailored to the traveler’s preferences.
Global Itineraries With Jumeirah’s Signature Touch
The Maltese Falcon will split its time between two of the world’s most coveted cruising regions. Summer itineraries cover the Mediterranean’s most glamorous destinations, from the Balearic Islands and French Riviera to Sardinia, the Amalfi Coast, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece and Türkiye. Winter will bring the yacht back to the Caribbean, sailing between Antigua, Saint Martin, St. Barth and the Bahamas, offering warm-weather escapes at the peak of the season.
For Jumeirah, the addition of this legendary vessel strengthens the Privé collection, which launched with Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania. Both experiences reflect the brand’s vision of offering ultra-exclusive retreats that combine privacy, natural beauty and personalized service.
As Jumeirah continues its broader growth strategy, aiming to double its portfolio by 2030, luxury yachting is set to become a defining component of its expanding global presence.
