The U.S. Travel Association has announced a major new partnership with The Great American Road Trip, a nationwide storytelling initiative dedicated to celebrating the places, people and innovations that define the United States.
The collaboration is designed to motivate millions of Americans to explore the country’s diverse landscapes and communities ahead of its 250th birthday, a milestone moment that is prompting renewed national reflection.
As part of the partnership, U.S. Travel will help elevate Road Trip events in cities across the country, spotlighting how travel fuels local economies, builds cultural understanding and connects Americans through shared experiences.
The initiative emphasizes the essential role that travel plays in shaping the nation’s identity – both historically and today – by showcasing destinations large and small.
U.S. Travel president and CEO Geoff Freeman said the effort comes at a perfect time, as Americans look for meaningful ways to reconnect with the country’s heritage. He noted that the partnership channels the adventurous spirit of road travel while encouraging residents to rediscover the people and places that make the U.S. remarkable.
Together, the two organizations aim to unify the nation through exploration and storytelling as the semiquincentennial approaches.
