Royal Caribbean Group has officially set a launch date for Points Choice, its new flexible loyalty points program designed to give cruisers greater control over how they earn and use rewards across the company’s portfolio. The program will apply to all sailings departing on or after January 30.

Under Points Choice, guests sailing with any of Royal Caribbean Group’s three cruise brands – Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, or Silversea – can choose which brand receives the loyalty points earned from a given voyage. This added flexibility is aimed at travelers who enjoy sailing with multiple cruise lines within the group and want to consolidate rewards in a way that best matches their future travel plans.

To use the program, guests must actively submit a request each time they wish to redirect their earned points. Requests can be made online at any point before a sailing and up to 14 days after the voyage concludes. For sailings with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises, requests can also be submitted directly through the cruise line’s mobile app, simplifying the process for frequent cruisers.

Points Choice builds on Royal Caribbean Group’s broader loyalty strategy, following the introduction of its status-match program, which allows guests to receive equivalent loyalty status across Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Silversea. Together, the two initiatives reflect a growing push toward loyalty flexibility, recognizing that modern cruise travelers often move between brands depending on destination, ship style, and travel occasion.

The company first announced Points Choice in October but had not previously shared a confirmed launch date. With the program now set to go live, Royal Caribbean Group is positioning itself to better serve repeat cruisers seeking more personalized and transferable loyalty benefits.
