While many U.S. national parks face closures during the federal government shutdown, Pearl Harbor National Memorial continues to welcome visitors thanks to the efforts of Pacific Historic Parks, its longtime nonprofit partner. The organization has taken charge of providing updates, notices, and event information through its website, Pacifichistoricparks.org, now serving as the main hub for visitor details and operating hours.
Pacific Historic Parks CEO Aileen Utterdyke emphasized the group’s commitment to keeping the memorial open, echoing similar efforts during the 2018 shutdown. The nonprofit’s leadership and donor support ensure that access to the USS Arizona Memorial and visitor center remains uninterrupted.
Operations continue as normal, with tickets available on Recreation.gov or in person, allowing residents and travelers to experience one of Oahu’s most significant historical sites without disruption.
