Explora Journeys has announced its first world cruise, set to depart in 2029 as the luxury line continues its global expansion.

The 128-day sailing aboard Explora I will depart Dubai on January 6 and conclude in Barcelona on May 14, offering an extensive journey through 29 countries and 63 destinations. It marks a major milestone for MSC Group’s luxury brand, which launched operations in 2023.

The itinerary will travel east from Dubai through South and Southeast Asia before continuing to Australia and New Zealand, marking Explora’s first calls in both regions.

Guests will then cross the Pacific to explore South America, sail through the Panama Canal, and continue along Central America, the Caribbean and the U.S. East Coast. The voyage ends with a transatlantic crossing into the Mediterranean, featuring 12 overnight stays along the way.

Explora currently operates two ships, with Explora III joining the fleet next summer and Explora IV set for 2027. Bookings for the 2029 world cruise will open in February, positioning the brand to compete in the high-end long-haul cruise segment as demand for extended luxury voyages grows.
