Envoyage, the host agency owned by Flight Centre Travel Group, is significantly expanding its commitment to the ASTA Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) certification by enrolling all 200 of its advisors in the program. The move builds on an initial pledge made in October to certify 100 advisors, a goal that the company says has progressed faster than expected.

According to Christina Pedroni, Envoyage’s executive vice president and general manager for the U.S., the first phase of the initiative has already delivered strong results. By the end of December, 100 advisors will have been enrolled, with 70 having already passed the certification exam and officially earned the VTA designation. Envoyage now expects continued momentum into 2026 as it works toward having its entire advisor network certified.

The company views the VTA credential as an important differentiator at a time when the travel industry is experiencing rapid change. Envoyage pointed to the growing use of AI-powered planning tools and an influx of new, part-time or hobbyist advisors as factors increasing the need for clearly defined professional standards.

Pedroni emphasized that the certification helps reinforce trust at moments when travelers are making deeply personal and meaningful decisions. Envoyage plans to further elevate certified advisors by featuring them on its newly launched consumer-facing website, making it easier for travelers to identify and connect with verified professionals.
