American Cruise Lines (ACL) will introduce six new ships in 2027 and 2028, bringing its total fleet to 30 vessels. The expansion includes three ships debuting in 2027 – the American Anthem river ship and American Mariner and American Navigator coastal vessels – followed by three additional river ships in 2028, including the American Grace and two yet-unnamed sister ships.

CEO Charles Robertson said the additions reflect ACL’s confidence in the U.S. domestic cruise market. The new ships will strengthen the company’s operations along the Arkansas River, the Great Lakes, and the Columbia and Snake Rivers, which are seeing rising demand.

The coastal vessels will sail East Coast itineraries, while the new river ships will feature Signature Suites and enhanced onboard amenities. ACL’s continued expansion builds on its growing Patriot-class series and reinforces its leadership in American river cruising.
