American Cruise Lines has officially welcomed the American Pioneer into its fleet, marking the debut of the company’s newest Patriot-class coastal vessel. The christening ceremony took place on November 10 in Key West, where Key West mayor Danise “Dee Dee” Henriquez served as godmother. Henriquez previously held the same honor for the American Legend, ACL’s Coastal Cat that launched earlier this year.

The American Pioneer accommodates 130 guests and features private balconies in every stateroom and suite, along with multiple lounges and dining venues designed for relaxed coastal cruising. Following its christening, the ship departed on its inaugural sailing – the 16-day Grand Florida Coast & Keys itinerary – highlighting destinations along Florida’s shoreline and island chain.

The vessel is the second Patriot-class ship to join ACL’s lineup after the American Patriot debuted in June. The company continues to expand the class, with American Ranger and American Maverick scheduled for 2026 and American Navigator and American Mariner set to follow in 2028.
