AmaWaterways has expanded its presence in Colombia with the launch of its second ship, the AmaMelodia, now sailing alongside the AmaMagdalena on the Magdalena River. The vessel accommodates 64 guests and features staterooms ranging from 237 to 318 square feet, a locally inspired restaurant, and a whirlpool-equipped Sun Deck.

The ship offers two seven-night itineraries, Magic of Colombia and Wonders of Colombia, featuring excursions such as private performances from the Barranquilla Carnival, jazz concerts in Mompox, and visits to Palenque. AmaWaterways CEO Catherine Powell and co-founder Kristin Karst emphasized the collaboration with Colombian partners to promote sustainable tourism and celebrate the country’s cultural heritage.

AmaMelodia’s debut marks another milestone for the company’s South American expansion, enriching river cruising experiences and contributing to local economic growth along one of the region’s most historic waterways.
