Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group is deepening its long-standing presence in Egypt with a second newly built Nile River vessel set to launch in 2028.

The company signed a construction agreement with Egyptian shipbuilder The Arab Contractors, marking a major step in its largest fleet expansion since first operating on the Nile in 1977. The new ship will be a sister vessel to the Nile Seray, scheduled for delivery in late 2026, and will bring A&K’s Egyptian fleet to six ships by 2028.

Designed for 64 guests, the vessel will feature 32 spacious suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, Juliet balconies, and select full balconies with outdoor spa pools. Amenities will include two restaurants, a spa, fitness facilities, a top deck pool, and an outdoor bar. Every itinerary will be guided by expert Egyptologists, reinforcing A&K’s focus on immersive cultural experiences.

Executives say the investment reflects rising demand for luxury travel in Egypt and a renewed confidence in the country’s tourism growth. By partnering with local shipbuilders and authorities, A&K aims to support both Egypt’s economy and its evolving river cruise sector.
