Emirates has extended the suspension of all scheduled flights to and from Dubai through 11:59pm UAE time on March 7, citing ongoing airspace closures across the region. In practical terms, this means regular commercial services will not resume until Sunday, March 8, while the airline continues to operate only a limited number of repatriation and cargo flights.
The Dubai-based carrier confirmed that the suspension affects all scheduled Emirates flights departing from and arriving at Dubai International Airport. The decision follows continued restrictions in regional airspace, which have significantly disrupted normal aviation operations. The airline said the situation remains dynamic and is being assessed continuously, with schedules adjusted accordingly.
All scheduled Emirates flights to and from Dubai remain suspended until 2359hrs UAE time on 7 March, due to airspace closures across the region.

Despite the broad suspension, Emirates is operating a limited flight schedule to facilitate passenger repatriation and essential cargo movements. Customers with earlier bookings are being prioritized on these flights. However, the airline has stressed that travelers should not proceed to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by Emirates or hold a confirmed booking for one of the limited operating services.
Passengers transiting through Dubai are only permitted to travel if their onward connecting flight is operating. The airline has warned that customers without confirmation should avoid traveling to the airport, as city check-in facilities across Dubai are temporarily closed until further notice.
Emirates has urged customers to regularly check their flight status and monitor operational updates before heading to the airport. Travelers are also advised to ensure their contact details are up to date to receive notifications regarding changes or cancellations. The carrier said updates will continue to be published as the situation evolves.
For affected passengers, Emirates is offering flexible options. Customers can rebook on an alternate flight to their intended destination for travel on or before March 27. Those who booked through a travel agent are advised to contact their agent directly, while passengers who booked with Emirates can manage changes through the airline. Alternatively, customers with bookings on or before March 12 may request a refund by submitting the appropriate form or contacting their travel provider.
In a statement, an Emirates spokesperson apologized for the inconvenience but reiterated that safety remains the airline’s highest priority. The company thanked customers for their patience and understanding, emphasizing that the safety and security of passengers and crew continue to guide operational decisions during this period of disruption.
