IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened voco Times Square – Broadway, marking the largest voco property in the Americas and strengthening the brand’s presence in New York City. The new 32-story hotel features 419 guestrooms and rises at the busy intersection of Seventh Avenue and West 48th Street, placing guests steps from Times Square and within walking distance of major Midtown landmarks.

The opening follows a period of rapid expansion for voco, IHG’s fastest-growing premium brand, which recently surpassed 100 open hotels globally. With the addition of voco Times Square – Broadway, the brand now operates three properties in Manhattan, joining voco Times Square South near Penn Station and voco The Franklin on the Upper East Side. The new hotel also becomes one of the final new-build developments approved in the landmark Times Square district.

Designed to combine the reassurance of a large hotel with the charm and informality of a more intimate property, voco Times Square – Broadway draws aesthetic inspiration from New York City’s Prohibition-era speakeasies. The lobby welcomes guests with plush seating, warm lighting and layered textures that evoke the glamour of the Jazz Age, while still delivering modern comfort. Sleek lines, rich finishes and stylish furnishings define the interiors, balancing vintage-inspired touches with contemporary design.

Guest rooms and suites continue that theme, offering calming palettes and refined décor meant to provide a relaxed retreat amid Midtown’s nonstop energy. The design approach reflects voco’s broader positioning within IHG’s premium segment: dependable and polished, yet approachable and individual.

One of the property’s standout features is its rooftop, described as the only hotel rooftop in Times Square with unobstructed panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. The expansive 2,400-square-foot indoor-outdoor space is designed for events, private gatherings and social celebrations, offering a high-altitude vantage point over the city’s lights and landmarks. The rooftop bar and lounge, The Velvet Fox, serves handcrafted cocktails and small plates in an atmosphere intended to feel both lively and intimate.

Located near attractions such as Radio City Music Hall, the Museum of Modern Art and the Empire State Building, the hotel positions itself as a central base for both leisure and business travelers. Its address overlooking Times Square ensures constant visibility in one of the world’s most visited districts.

Globally, voco now has more than 120 open hotels, with over 100 additional properties in development. The brand has recently expanded in key markets including the UK, Florida, Mexico and Ireland, underscoring its accelerating international growth. Recent openings and announcements across these regions reflect IHG’s strategy of scaling the premium segment through conversions and new builds alike.

With voco Times Square – Broadway, the brand adds another high-profile address in one of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets while continuing its steady global expansion.
