Hilton has officially surpassed 500 open hotels across Florida—a landmark achievement that reflects the company’s strategic investment in one of the most dynamic travel markets in the United States. This milestone showcases Hilton’s ability to scale its offerings to meet the diverse needs of travelers, from families and beach vacationers to business professionals and meeting planners.

Spanning 17 brands- ranging from Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn to Curio Collection and Conrad – Hilton’s Florida portfolio has nearly doubled over the past decade. Since 2020 alone, the company has added nearly 90 new properties across major cities like Orlando and Miami, as well as in regional leisure destinations.

With a record-breaking 143 million visitors arriving in Florida in 2024, Hilton’s expansion is keeping pace with the state’s explosive tourism growth. From extended-stay properties to upscale resorts and lifestyle hotels, Hilton is strategically positioned to serve the evolving preferences of today’s travelers. The company currently has nearly 140 additional hotels in its development pipeline, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Florida market.

Meeting Demand with Brand Diversity and Local Flavor

Hilton’s rapid expansion is rooted in both scale and brand variety. The portfolio includes hotels tailored to every kind of guest, with recent openings like The THesis Hotel in Miami Coral Gables, Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club in the Keys, and Castillo Real in St. Augustine highlighting the blend of global consistency and regional charm.

In a statement about the milestone, John Koshivos, vice president and managing director of development for Southeast U.S. at Hilton, said:

“Florida has long been a cornerstone for leisure travel and surpassing 500 hotels across the state marks a pivotal moment in Hilton’s journey here. We are proud of our multi‑brand growth in Florida, where we’ve introduced the breadth of Hilton’s award‑winning brands, from Hampton by Hilton to Conrad Hotels & Resorts, in sought‑after locales, from the Panhandle and Orlando to Miami and the Keys. As we aim to offer our guests the right brand for their needs, our lifestyle brands are standing out in this continued expansion, as they reflect the evolving tastes of today’s modern travelers who crave immersive, culturally rich experiences.”

Looking Ahead: Hilton’s Role in Florida’s Travel Future

Hilton’s role in shaping Florida’s hospitality landscape is both economic and experiential. Its presence generates jobs, drives tourism spending, and enhances the guest experience across urban and coastal regions alike. Whether welcoming families to theme parks, executives to conferences, or couples on coastal getaways, Hilton’s hotels are designed to support Florida’s diverse travel ecosystem.

With the addition of lifestyle-driven brands like Canopy, Tempo, and Tapestry in the pipeline, Hilton is positioning itself to meet rising expectations among a new generation of travelers who seek authenticity, flexibility, and meaningful stays. The company’s next 500 hotels in Florida may be closer than we think.
