Singapore Airlines is ramping up capacity on its London Gatwick to Singapore route this summer, reflecting strong demand and ongoing adjustments to global air travel patterns. The airline will increase service from daily flights to 10 weekly frequencies between late March and early July, before moving to double-daily operations during the peak summer period from early July through late August.

The expanded schedule comes as airlines across Europe and Asia respond to airspace disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict, which have altered traditional flight paths and increased the importance of direct long-haul routes. Singapore Airlines has also added capacity on its London Heathrow services, signaling a broader strategy to strengthen connectivity between Europe and Asia.

The move highlights both sustained demand for long-haul travel and the aviation industry’s flexibility in adapting to geopolitical challenges, with carriers reallocating resources to maintain network reliability and passenger volumes.
