Amadeus River Cruises Strengthens North America Strategy With Leadership Promotions

Amadeus River Cruises has promoted Marcus Leskovar to president and appointed a new vice president of sales as it sharpens its focus on expanding market share in North America.

Amadeus River Cruises is reinforcing its long-term commitment to the North American market with a series of senior leadership appointments aimed at accelerating growth and strengthening relationships with travel advisors. The company has promoted Marcus Leskovar from executive vice president to president, tasking him with guiding the river cruise line through its next phase of expansion.

Leskovar has been with Amadeus for nearly a decade and has played a central role in building the brand’s visibility and distribution across North America. In his previous role, he oversaw international sales and marketing, helping position Amadeus as a growing alternative in the competitive river cruise space. As president, Leskovar will now lead overall strategy, with a continued emphasis on advisor partnerships and sustainable market growth.

Alongside Leskovar’s promotion, Amadeus appointed Hannah Westerdoll as vice president of sales. Westerdoll joins the company from AmaWaterways, where she spent eight years in senior sales leadership roles, including senior director of sales and director of key accounts. At Amadeus, she will oversee all sales initiatives, with a focus on supporting and expanding the travel advisor network.

The leadership team expansion also includes Victoria Singleton, who joined Amadeus in 2024 as director of marketing after previously working at Northstar Travel Group. Singleton is responsible for brand strategy and market positioning, aligning marketing efforts with the company’s growth objectives in North America.

According to Leskovar, demand for river cruising continues to rise in the region, making investment in experienced, relationship-driven professionals a strategic priority. The leadership changes signal Amadeus River Cruises’ intent to deepen its presence in the North American travel market while maintaining its family-owned culture and advisor-centric approach.
